A new main entry to Canberra Hospital
There is a new main entry to Canberra Hospital in the Critical Services Building (Building 5). This is around 300 metres from the Southern Multistorey Car Park.
The Main Reception connects the new Building 5 with the existing buildings on campus.
While we prepare Building 5 for clinical services to open in August, temporary road works along Hospital Road will continue. Temporary pedestrian diversions will be in place during this time.

Hospital Road changes
Hospital Road has a north and a south side to make way for our new Critical Services Building.
On the north side, this part of Hospital Road takes you to the Centenary Hospital for Women and Children.
On the south side, this is the part of Hospital Road that takes you from the Multistorey Carpark all the way down to our new Main Reception of Canberra Hospital.
For a brief period of time, there will be major landscaping works along the south side of Hospital Road. We will have traffic controllers in place directing people to and from the hospital to ensure at all times, everyone’s safe.
At the moment our courtesy bus stops outside Building 15 and at the Hospital Road south turning circle at Building 5. Our taxi rank remains near the main entry to the hospital.
Yamba Drive entrance works
For the next 12 months there is no access to the hospital from the Yamba Drive entrance while construction works are underway. There’s more detail on our news page.
