Main Reception

If you are unfamiliar with Canberra Hospital, please ask our team at the Main Reception for help. They welcome any enquiry and will help you find your way around the campus.

You can find our Main Reception in Building 5, level 2 (street level) along on Hospital Road.

Canberra Hospital has several shops, cafés and a children’s play area.

Toilets and parent’s rooms

There are accessible public toilets located in the Main Reception in Building 5, including a Changing Places Toilet Facility, and in the Building 2 foyer. These are both on level 2 (street level). A Changing Places facility is larger than a standard accessible toilet and has extra features and more space to meet the needs of people with disability and their carers.

There are also public toilets:

  • on each floor of Building 1 (the tower block) near the lifts
  • on each floor of Building 5, including the Main Entry
  • in the emergency department. Ask our staff for help if needed
  • Building 2, Level 3, near the atrium
  • in the corridor across from Central Outpatients Department and the Fracture Clinic, Building 1, Level 2 (street level)
  • Building 3, Level 1 (ground level) behind the Eye Clinic (Ophthalmology) reception desk
  • Building 19, Level 1 (ground level) near the entrance.

Our hospital is an accredited Breastfeeding Friendly Workplace. Whether you are a staff member, a patient or visitor breastfeeding is welcome anywhere.
