ACT Pathology provides services and advice to clinicians across the ACT.
Our ACT Pathology Customer Liaison Team is available on (02) 5124 2932 from 9am to 5pm Monday to Friday. You can call the team to discuss all service delivery issues, including reporting delivery, courier services, patient billing and collection centres. We offer different reporting options to meet the individual needs of our clients. This includes an extensive courier service that delivers reports to doctor’s surgeries across Canberra.

Result delivery
Electronic result delivery
ACT Pathology can provide direct and secure pathology results services that use practice management software, such as Medical Director, Medtech 32, Medical Spectrum, Intrahealth and Genie. Results are downloaded in PIT or HL7 formats for external clients. You can access this service on both PC and Apple computers using HealthLink software.
To apply for HealthLink use the online application form or phone the ACT Pathology Customer Liaison Team on (02) 5124 2932 between 9am and 5pm, Monday to Friday.
We can also automatically fax pathology results to services as soon as they are authorised. You can use auto fax for specific tests or for all results. Additional hard copies can be requested.
To establish automatic faxing contact our Customer Liaison Officer on (02) 5124 3367. Practices will need to provide a fax number to receive this service.
Hard copy result delivery
Referring practitioners can choose to receive standard A4 reports or a modified A4 report with a perforation to reduce the size to A5.
Reporting features include:
- abnormalities highlighted in bold
- cumulative reporting of up to five patient episodes
- provision of intelligent personalised comments using a Laboratory intelligent Decision Support (LiDS) program
