The Medical Imaging Service at North Canberra Hospital performs:
- General Ultrasounds
- Musculoskeletal imaging
- Multi-slice Computed Tomography (CT) Scans
- Vascular and Soft Tissue Ultrasound
- X-rays
Ultrasound, X-ray, CT scans and other medical imaging services are also available at Canberra Hospital and Weston Creek Health Centre.
Who we care for
Our services are available for patients with a referral from their GP or medical practitioner.

Your GP or specialist will refer you to our service.

What to expect
We do not provide a walk-in service. You need to make a booking unless you are an admitted patient at North Canberra Hospital.
What to bring
- Medicare Card or ACT Services Card
- Any letters or correspondence from your GP
- Medicines you need to take while you are here
- List of medicines you are currently taking (or the boxes), including medicines you bought without a prescription, such as herbal supplements and vitamins
- Previous x-ray films, scans, ultrasounds or any other test results or reports

We are based at North Canberra Hospital (formerly Calvary Public Hospital Bruce), Level 2, Xavier Building.
