We have outpatient and community-based services and clinics. We provide services for you in your local community or at home.

We might refer you to one of our outpatient or community-based services after you leave hospital. Your treating team will let you know about this.

There are some services you can refer yourself to, or you can ask your GP or other health care worker to refer you.

Access Mental Health Team

The Access Mental Health Team provide a 24-hour, seven day a week service. They assess and treat mentally ill people in crisis situations.

Home Assessment and Acute Response Team

The Home Assessment and Acute Response Team (HAART) provides home based mental health crisis assessment, short term treatment and support, and referral for ongoing care. Referrals to HAART are accepted through Access Mental Health on 1800 629 354 OR (02) 6205 1065.

Community Recovery Services

Community Recovery Service mental health teams provide mental health assessment, treatment, clinical management, crisis management, family support and referral for people with mental health issues in the community.

What do I do if I am not getting better?

If you are not getting better, you should talk to your GP about your condition.

If you are very sick you may need to go to the emergency department.
