A welcoming space that provides support, education, and relaxation for cancer patients
When the Cancer Wellbeing Space opens, there will be variety of programs to help improve your overall health and wellbeing. These will be integrated with the care you receive at Canberra Regional Cancer Centre to support you through your treatment, and even after your treatment ends.
Who will be able to access the Cancer Wellbeing Space?
- Patients undergoing cancer treatment or who have completed treatment in the last five years at Canberra Region Cancer Centre and their families and carers.
- Children under 15 years of age can accompany family members accessing the Cancer Wellbeing Space.
Programs and Services
The Cancer Wellbeing Space will be a comfortable place where patients and carers can relax, meet others, and connect with local community services. We'll have a variety of support programs and group activities to help with your wellbeing and provide education.
How to find us
The Cancer Wellbeing Space will be located on Level 3, Building 19 within the Canberra Region Cancer Centre, which is a large, white multi storey building next to the Southern multi storey car park.

Canberra Region Cancer Centre
Building 19 is highlighted below on the Canberra Hospital campus map:

Drop off and pick up is available at the entrance and the Canberra Hospital Courtesy Bus stops here every 15 minutes.
Parking is available in the Southern multi storey car park or, alternatively, in the Yamba Drive South car park.

Cancer Research
The Cancer Wellbeing Space will be co-located with the Cancer Research Hub to further enhance our cancer wellbeing research capabilities.
Through the Canberra Region Cancer Centre our clinicians are actively engaged in several research activities including clinical trials, conference presentations and dedicated research projects.
