Outpatient appointments and day surgery

Paediatric Outpatients appointments

Our paediatric outpatient appointments are held in the clinic area on Level 1 (street level). You can find us down the corridor to the left when you enter Centenary Hospital.

Make sure you check in at the desk when you arrive to let us know you are here before you take a seat in the waiting area.

There are toilets close to the waiting area.

Day surgery

If you are bringing your child to hospital for a surgical procedure or a medical treatment that doesn't require an overnight stay in hospital we will ask you to come to Level 1 (street level).

Make sure you check in with us when you arrive.

Staying overnight

If your child is coming to hospital for overnight care or staying overnight after a surgical procedure they will stay in one of our specialty wards.

Your care team will give you information about what time you should arrive and any special instructions about where to go.

Our paediatric wards are on Level 1 (street level). You can find directions on the hospital directory in the Centenary Hospital lift lobby and stairwell, near the main entrance.

We have some suggestions about what to bring for your child's stay.

Staff stations

Each of our paediatric wards has a staff station. If you are visiting a child on the ward our staff at the station can help direct you to the right room.

Lounge areas

When visiting please be considerate of all the children on the ward. There are lounge areas located on each ward. The lounge areas are a great place to meet, particularly if you are bringing along small children.

Beverage bays

As well as our lounge areas, some of our paediatric wards have beverage bays. Patients and visitors are welcome to use the bays to make a cup of tea or coffee. For safety we ask that hot drinks are not taken into patient rooms. More on this in our food and mealtimes information.

Breastfeeding Friendly

Our hospital is accredited Breastfeeding Friendly. Whether you are a staff member, a patient or visitor breastfeeding is welcome anywhere.

Ward locations

We have a list of our paediatric and adolescent ward locations.
