The First Time Parent Group is a four-week program run by our Maternal, Child and Family Health (MACH) nurses and/or midwives.
About this service
First Time Parent Groups give you the opportunity to meet other first-time parents with babies of a similar age. This service offers support, education and information on all aspects of parenting including topics and issues about:
- adjusting to parenting and caring for yourself and your baby
- child safety, introducing solids, play and development and
- how to access services and support networks available to you in the community.
This group is available to first time parents of infants from 6 weeks to under four months of age. Due to limited venue space, we request that only one parent attends the group and please do not bring prams with you.
