Each bed has a ward number, a room number and a bed number.

Ward numbers can be found on the Hospital Directory at the lift lobby and stairwell.

Room numbers are usually located on the wall at the entrance to each room.

Bed numbers are on the wall above the bed.

Staff stations

Each ward has a staff station. If you are visiting someone on the ward our staff at the station can help direct you to the right room.

Lounge areas

When visiting with family and friends please be considerate of all the patients in the room. There are lounge areas located on each ward. If you are visiting someone in the hospital or a patient having loved ones visit, our lounge rooms are a great place to meet, particularly if you are bringing along small children.

Beverage bays

As well as our lounge areas, wards have tea and coffee beverage bay. Patients and visitors are welcome to use the bays to make a cup of tea or coffee. For safety we ask that hot drinks are not taken into patient rooms. You can read more on this in our food and mealtimes information.

Breastfeeding Friendly

Our hospital is an accredited Breastfeeding Friendly Workplace. Whether you are a staff member, a patient or visitor breastfeeding is welcome anywhere.
