Our Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy service provides assessment and treatment for patients with musculoskeletal conditions.
About this service
You can access this service if you have been referred internally by your North Canberra Hospital doctor or health professional.
We offer individual appointments to provide physiotherapy care for a range of issues including:
- acute and chronic musculoskeletal conditions
- post orthopaedic surgery or fracture
- arthritic or degenerative joint complaints
- repetitive strain injuries
- cervicogenic dizziness.
Who we care for
We care for people who have been treated at North Canberra Hospital and are referred to our outpatient Musculoskeletal Service.
How to access this service
What to expect
If you are referred to our service, you will have an individual appointment with a musculoskeletal physiotherapist.
Your first appointment will be about 1 hour and follow up appointments are about 30 minutes.
These appointments are available Monday to Friday from 8.30am to 3.30pm. Please wear clothes that are comfortable and easy to move in.
What to bring to your appointment
- Medicare card
- Any letters or correspondence from your GP
- Previous x-ray films, scans, ultrasounds or any other test results or reports
