Our Children’s Asthma Education Service (CAES) provides children, young people and their families with initial and ongoing education and support to manage their asthma.

    About this service

Preschool wheeze and asthma are conditions of the lungs that makes it difficult to breathe. It’s a common health problem that affects 1 in 10 children.

Although there is currently no cure for asthma, you can lead a normal, active life, if your asthma is well managed.

We support all children and young people and their families living with wheeze and asthma.

The nurse educators help you to understand wheeze and asthma, asthma first aid and how asthma medications work and when to use them.

    Who we care for

We see children and young people up to 18 years of age, and their families.
