Position overview

This position is for an ASAP commencement for a period of three months with possible extension and / or permanency.

You will assist with a range of high-level administrative duties within the Senior Medical workforce. This position will provide you with board exposure to medical administration predominantly in the areas of medical recruitment.

Key Responsibilities

Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following.

  • Ensure all human resource practices are in accordance with relevant ACT Government awards and Canberra Health Services policies
  • Manage contractual agreements with employees, ensuring accurate renumeration entitlements are applied.
  • Liaise with Clinical Units to ensure the timely recruitment, governance and processes are being carried out effectively.
  • Lead or participate in relevant Medical Administration projects and policy development, along with conducting recruitment specific training programs
  • Prepare reports, briefs, correspondence and submissions on recruitment issued related to the Senior Medical workforce
  • Undertake duties appropriate to this level of classification which contribute to the operation of the Medical Administration unit as required.
