​​The Medical Administration Coordinator is responsible for providing administrative support to the medical administration department to meet operational and professional regulatory requirements.

​The medical administration coordinator is a first point of call for all medical officers working within NCH regarding pay, rostering, leave, and education. This position also assists with the coordination and management of recruitment, on-boarding, and credentialing of medical staff; including locums.​

Key Responsibilities

Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following.

Under limited direction of the Team leader and Manager, Medical Administration, you will:

  • Assist with drafting and maintaining the Junior Medical Officer (JMO) and Consultant rosters. This includes managing, recording and coordinating leave requests, shift swaps and overtime approvals
  • Assist with JMO onboarding
  • Coordination and management of invoice processing
  • Assist with the coordination of the JMO teaching and orientation sessions
  • Undertake other duties appropriate to this level of classification which contribute to the operation of the organisation.

Computer literacy skills are required, which are relevant to this role as you will be responsible for completing required documentation and becoming a proficient user of the Digital Health Record and/or other Information Technology systems; once proficient, you will need to remain current with changes, updates, and contingencies.
