Position overview

Under direct supervision of the Quality and Promotions Manager, The Events & Campaigns Officer plans, coordinates, and delivers events and behaviour‑change campaigns that support public engagement and organisational objectives. The role ensures events are well‑executed, campaigns are impactful, and operational processes run smoothly.

The Quality and Promotions Team provide a key role in encouraging participation and engaging stakeholders to increase screening participation at BreastScreen ACT.

Key Responsibilities

Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following.

  1. Plan, schedule, and execute events, community activations, and campaign initiatives.
  2. Manage stock of event assets including banners, signage, merchandise, and collateral.
  3. Coordinate production of campaign materials across digital, print, and physical formats.
  4. Document event outcomes, issues, and evaluation data.
  5. Coordinate procurement, delivery, storage, and return of event materials.
  6. Develop and maintain relationships with sponsors, venues, suppliers, and community partners.
  7. Maintain campaign timelines, run sheets, logistics plans, and event checklists.
  8. Provide administrative support for campaign or event initiatives.
  9. Undertake other duties appropriate to this level of classification which contribute to the operation of the organisation.

CHS is leading the drive to digitally transform health service delivery in Australia through the implementation of a territory wide Digital Health Record. Computer literacy skills are required which are relevant to this role as you will be responsible for completing required documentation and becoming a proficient user of the Digital Health Record and/or other Information Technology systems; once proficient, you will need to remain current with changes, updates, and contingencies.
