Position overview
Under general direction, the eRostering Support Officer provides system administrative and technical support for the ProAct Master and Medical rostering systems, improving usability and user experience. It contributes significantly to the effective provision of rostering support services across Canberra Health Services (CHS) by liaising with internal and external stakeholders and monitoring and reviewing change processes to ensure rostering practice aligns with Enterprise Agreements and operational requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following.
- Support the eRostering management team to deliver operational and technical activities in relation to the CHS rostering system.
- Provide backup support for administration of eRostering toolsets. This includes, but is not limited to:
- Assist with the maintenance of the rostering data and to ensure the accurate Code and Reference Tables (CaRTS) and value parameters are used appropriately on the timesheets.
- Ensuring updates to the system data (HR-Link) is managed efficiently and effectively.
- Undertaking system and management reporting as required.
- Assist with system interface data checking and processing, testing following break/fix implementations or system enhancements.
- Deliver help desk assistance and system information to support end users in effectively using the rostering system.
- Assist with communications and coordination of end user support activities including scheduling of training, development, and maintenance of training aids, handbooks, demonstration models, multimedia visual aids, computer tutorials, and reference works.
- Auditing and processing of timesheet amendments for staff of varied position classifications throughout CHS.
- Assist with administration and delivery of staff education and training in relation to ACT Health rostering processes and procedures. This includes face-to-face training, provision of training materials, and providing subject matter expert (SME) rostering advice to clients.
- Undertake other duties appropriate to this level of classification which contribute to the operation of the organisation.

Experience
Essential
- Prior experience in administrative duties involving telephone enquiries, management of workflow and records management processes.
Desirable
- Prior experience in using an electronic rostering system will be highly desirable.
- Prior experience of best practice rostering processes would be an advantage.
- Prior experience in working with Enterprise Agreements, pay conditions and entitlements will be highly desirable.
- Experience or knowledge of the CHS Exceptional Care Framework and all other related frameworks.

- Demonstrates ability to provide rostering support tasks and customer services including working knowledge and practical experience with the use of staff scheduling/rostering software, Enterprise Agreements, Microsoft Suite at intermediate level, and web-based applications to enhance work performance and processes.
- Proven ability/experience in providing administrative duties relating to rostering software, technical and operational projects, and the ability to deliver and operate under limited supervision, to exercise initiative and to effectively manage priorities and workloads under pressure and within tight deadlines.
- Demonstrated sound communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to liaise, consult, and negotiate with stakeholders and coordinate correspondence.
- Demonstrates ability to analyse situations, proactively problem-solve, and ultimately make informed decisions that results in positive outcomes.
- Demonstrates understanding of, and adherence to, safety and quality standards, work, health and safety (WH&S) and the positive patient experience. Displays’ behaviour consistent with CHS’s values of reliable, progressive, respectful and kind.
