Position overview
Infrastructure and Health Support Services (IHSS) is a division of Canberra Health Services responsible for:
- Facilities Management
- Operational Support Services
- Business Operations
Reporting to the Executive Group Manager (EGM), the Business Manager plays a key role in coordinating, driving, and delivering strategic and operational initiatives in support of the IHSS Executive Office. This position requires close collaboration with a broad range of stakeholders and provides high-level support to the EGM. A critical focus of the role includes working with the EGM to assess operational efficiency and identify opportunities to reduce or eliminate waste across the division.

Key Responsibilities
Under the limited direction of the Executive Group Manager, you will:
- Support the work and priorities for the EGM IHSS.
- Utilise project, stakeholder and change management strategies to drive outcomes on behalf of the EGM IHSS.
- Undertake research, develop documents and provide high level advice to the EGM on strategic, administrative and operational matters.
- Contribute to the development, implementation and review of policies, procedures and/or programs related to the division.
- Prepare presentations and reports.
- Manage administrative resourcing and related processes to ensure an effective and efficient division.
- Undertake project work and attend meetings on behalf of the EGM.
- Contribute to the development, implementation and progressive improvement of the IHSS culture and IHSS operations contributing to quality improvement and accreditation activities.
- Undertake other duties appropriate to this level of classification which contribute to the operation of the organisation.
Please note that the Business Manager role will also absorb all Executive Officer and Executive Assistant functions within Infrastructure and Health Support Services.

- Demonstrated experience working within a Hospital and Healthcare environment.

Computer literacy skills are required which are relevant to this role as you will be responsible for completing required documentation and becoming a proficient user of the Digital Health Record and/or other Information Technology systems; once proficient, you will need to remain current with changes, updates, and contingencies.
