The Australian Charter of Healthcare Rights (‘the Charter’) explains the rights of everyone using the Australian health care system. We support and are committed to these rights.
The Charter summarises the basic rights all patients and consumers are entitled to receive when accessing health care services. They are:

- safety
- respect
- partnership
- information
- privacy
- give feedback.

The Australian Commission on Safety and Quality in Health Care has produced useful information on your health care rights and responsibilities. You can visit their site to view or download:
