About this service
Youth Step Up Step Down is a residential facility for young people aged between 18 and 25 who are experiencing mental illness.
The program aims to fill the gap between inpatient care and less structured community-based services.
Youth Step Up Step Down is a voluntary program with a focus on recovery and support. You can stay for up to 12 weeks with an additional 6 weeks’ outreach support offered after leaving the residence.
There is no minimum length of stay. The program can support you to participate in a range of social and therapeutic activities. Our program can assist you to develop skills for everyday living and provide resources to manage your social mental health and emotional wellbeing.
The program does not cost anything, although you will need to supply your own food and medications.
Who we care for
Our program provides services to young people who are linked with mental health or other community services. This is important as these services will provide support after you have left the Youth Step Up Step Down residence.
