Who we care for
Our services are available for people referred by their General Practitioner or other referring specialists.
We offer these services for free if you have a Medicare Card or an Asylum Seeker Card.
How to access this service
Your General Practitioner or other medical practitioner will refer you to this service.
What to expect
Our medical team will review your referral once we receive it. If we need more information we’ll contact your referrer.
Referrals are clinically triaged (placed in order of urgency) and appointments given in order of that priority.
We’ll send you a letter offering you an appointment or letting you know that you’ve been placed on a wait list.
If your condition changes it is important you tell your GP as a new referral may be needed.
If you need to change or cancel an appointment, please contact us on (02) 5103 6570 as soon as possible.
If you missed your appointment without notifying the clinic you may be removed from the waitlist and another referral may be required.
We have general information about what to expect before, during and after your outpatient appointment.
What to bring to your appointment
- Medicare card
- Any letters or correspondence from your GP
- Medicines you need to take while you are here
- List of medicines you are currently taking (or the boxes), including medicines you have brought without a prescription, such as herbal supplements and vitamins
- Previous x-ray films, scans, ultrasounds or any other test results or reports

We are based at North Canberra Hospital (formerly Calvary Public Hospital Bruce), Lewisham Building, Level 1.
