About this service
Our Needle and Syringe Program provides sterile injecting equipment and education to injecting drug users.
We do this to reduce the risk of transmission of the HIV virus and other blood borne diseases.
We provide condoms and pamphlets on harm minimisation including safer sex practices and safer injecting.
We also provide needle and syringe disposal containers. These allow needles and syringes to be disposed of in the safest possible way.
Who we care for
We care for any ACT resident requiring safe injecting equipment and information on harm minimization approaches.
