About this service
Our team of medical and nursing and allied health staff provide care for critically ill patients or for patients recovering from a significant medical or surgical episode. Our modern intensive care facility is supported 24 hours a day, 7 days a week by Specialists offering a high level of medical and nursing care for critically ill patients.
We also have an Intensive Care Unit at Canberra Hospital.

We care for and treat patients who are suffering from a serious illness or injury including:

- Gastrointestinal Care
- High Dependency
- Orthopaedic Care
- Vascular Care.

Referral by Emergency Department, wards, Operating Theatres and other hospitals.

What to bring to your appointment
- Medicare card
- Any letters or correspondence from your GP
- Private health insurance card (if applicable/if you want to use it)
- List of medicines you are currently taking (or the boxes), including medicines you have bought without a prescription, such as herbal supplements and vitamins
- Previous x-ray films, scans, ultrasounds or any other test results or reports
