We supply oxygen and respiratory equipment for home use.
About this service
We provide oxygen and respiratory equipment to eligible people in the ACT community.
Who we care for
To check if you are eligible please ask your specialist or call us on (02) 5124 1063.
You must be living at home and be a permanent resident of the ACT.
You must be ineligible for assistance from another funding program, such as home care packages or the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS).
How to access this service
If you are eligible, your specialist doctor will need to complete a DORSS referral form. We do not accept referrals from GPs.
Before you can be referred to us, your specialist doctor will need to ensure that you have:
- completed a sleep study at a recognised sleep study unit within the last 12 months, and
- successfully trialled the recommended unit/equipment for a minimum of one month.
What to expect
We will contact you once your referral form has been processed.
If you are approved, we will contact you to organise delivery and set up of the equipment.
The scheme will cover the cost of the machine and the initial cost of a mask at setup.
You will be responsible for additional costs for:
- an alternative mask if you need a different one to the one that was prescribed for you
- costs of replacement masks, and
- costs of replacement filters and tubing for the machine.
Your equipment must be returned if you:
- no longer live in the ACT
- are no longer living at home
- no longer need it.
If you need to return your equipment, please contact us on (02) 5124 1063.
