We provide medical and counselling support for children and their families where there are concerns of child abuse and neglect.
About this service
We provide the following services:
- medical examination
- health screens
- group or individual counselling.
Who we care for
We see children and families from the ACT and surrounding NSW.
Referral to our medical services can be made by a concerned health professional, police or a child protection service.
Parents who have concern that their child has experienced abuse can seek support and advice by contacting our counselling service.
Children who have experienced abuse can see a counsellor to help them with recovery from trauma.
We offer these services for free.
A Medicare card is not necessary.
How to access this service
For access to our counselling services, please contact the Duty Worker on (02) 5124 2712, between 9am and 5pm, Monday to Friday.
What to expect
When you call us seeking counselling and support services, our duty worker will ask you some questions relating to your concerns for your child.
We’ll let you know if there is a waiting period and what to expect at the first appointment.
The counsellor may provide you with suggestions about how to help your child and may refer you to a community support service.

- You don’t need to bring anything with you.
