North Canberra Hospital is located on Mary Potter Circuit, Bruce. It is easily accessible by car and has free parking for patients, visitors, and staff.
You will enter the campus from Haydon Drive.
The Emergency Department is accessible from Ignatius Place, Bruce. We have directions to the Emergency Department.
Sometimes parking can be hard to find. We recommend giving yourself plenty of time to find the hospital and a parking place.
From Belconnen Way:
- Turn onto Haydon Drive. There are two entrances to Mary Potter Circuit. Take either entrance and follow the signs to North Canberra Hospital.
From Ginninderra Drive:
- Turn onto Haydon Drive. There are two entrances to Mary Potter Circuit. Take either entrance and follow the signs to North Canberra Hospital.
Drop off and pick up zones
There are drop off and pick up zones at these two main entrances:
- Xavier Building, Mary Potter Circuit
- Emergency Department, Ignatius Place.
Parking is not allowed in these locations, so please move your vehicle after the patient has been dropped off.
Car parks
The multi-storey car park is on Mary Potter Circuit. Patient and visitor parking is on levels 1, 2 and 3.
From this car park, the journey to the main hospital entrance is about 100 metres. The car park is:
- Free
- Open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week
- Undercover
Parking is also available in the open-air car park opposite the main hospital entry.
Short-term parking is available outside the Marian Building and the Emergency Department.
Parking conditions and time limits are enforced across the campus.
Accessible parking
We offer plenty of accessible parking spaces around the hospital campus.
Accessible parking bays can be found on level one of the multi-storey car park, underneath the Intensive Care Unit, and outside the entry to both the Marian Building and the Emergency Department.
You must display your disability parking permit or mobility parking permit to park in one of these spaces.
Please follow the signs to access the hospital.
Veterans transport
Some veterans may be able to access transport from the Department of Veterans’ Affairs (DVA). Find out more on the Department of Veterans’ Affairs website.
Motorbike and bicycle parking
Motorbike parking bays are on level one of the multi-storey car park.
Bicycle (bike) racks are available near each hospital entry. Please secure your bike.
What should I do if I receive a parking infringement?
If you receive a parking infringement you may wish to apply to dispute an infringement.
If you have received an infringement and you want to dispute the fine, you can ask for a certificate of attendance from the area where you had your appointment. This can be used as evidence when disputing the infringement.
