The Cosmopolitan Centre at Woden is now the new home for the southside Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS).

The new space got a $5 million upgrade to ensure it met client needs. It now includes a parents room for families with younger children, a purpose-designed art room and additional clinical therapy rooms. Other upgrades include a low sensory room to support young people and clients of the service to regulate their emotions in a low-stimulus environment, calm treatment areas for assessments, and a modern design to appeal to young people, their families or carers.

The contemporary look and feel, is welcoming for consumers and a great place for CAMHS teams. Situated closer to urban amenities, public transport and more public parking means getting to and from the service will also be easier and more convenient.

CAMHS delivers vital assessments and treatment of children, young people, and new and expectant mums who are experiencing complex mental illness.
